I have experience working and living in humanitarian aid settings globally to support refugees and asylees, and providing services to resettle refugees domestically in the U.S.

International Rescue Committee, Silver Spring, Maryland, 2013. I served as a Cultural Orientation facilitator re-settling refugees in the greater Washington D.C. area. I developed and implemented a curriculum to support the holistic and integrated resettlement process of 600 refugees annually. I facilitated trainings on how to access our healthcare system in the U.S., financial literacy, and job placement services. I also developed a program for refugee youth to leverage photography to deepen conversations around their resettlement experience.

School for International Training, Northern Ghana, Gnani Camp, 2013. I lived and worked with internally displaced peoples in Northern Ghana at a camp where exiled people lived after being accused of witchcraft.

Lighthouse Relief, Ritsona Refugee Camp, Chalkida, Greece, 2017. Facilitated outreach and programming to support gender-based violence prevention work in a refugee camp in Central Greece. Provided psycho-social support to women and children.

Youth UnMuted, Thessaloniki, Greece + Tijuana, Mexico, 2019, Strategic Consultant. I oversaw the development of strategy, M&E process, and program facilitation for an organization focused on providing psychosocial support to refugee youth in Greece (partnering with UNICEF) and unaccompanied minors at the US-Mexico border in Tijuana.

We trained youth on how to use storytelling and art as a tool to process trauma and build connections to their new communities.
