ABOUT MICHAELA
👋🏼 Welcome!
I’m Michaela - a Strategic Advisor and Impact Leader with over 10 years of experience leading global campaigns with expertise in digital marketing, brand strategy, content production, political advocacy, partner management, and coalition building. I bring ambitious company visions to life by pairing strategy with operations.
I lead teams to achieve impact no matter the industry: from non-profits and Fortune 500 corporate social responsibility programs; to political campaigns and local government; to the entertainment industry and Academy Award®-winning films.
films & series
At Participant, a global media company dedicated to entertainment that engages audiences to participate in social change, I served as the Senior Vice President of Campaigns & Engagement, leading the digital and creative marketing teams.
film distribution partners
I worked closely with our content strategy and sales team to create marketing materials (trailers, key art, posters) to attract wide-reaching distribution partners, and to premiere films at top festivals (Cannes, Venice, Telluride, Sundance, Toronto).
During the title release window, I managed relationships with our distributor partners to increase title reach recognition and achieve strategic impact goals.
featured CSR clients
I served as Head of Campaigns at DoSomething.org, the largest non-profit exclusively for young people making social change. I designed and managed award-winning CSR programs and campaigns for large corporate clients to activate young people to make an impact in their communities.
impact partners
I’m an organizer at heart. How I approach campaign development is rooted in my earliest experiences in student activism and political organizing.
Since then, I’ve been honored to work alongside incredible movement leaders and organizers throughout my career.
I started my career working at the International Rescue Committee developing and facilitating programs to resettle refugees in the DC area.
I have experience working in humanitarian aid settings in both Greece and Mexico with Lighthouse Relief and Youth UnMuted, to provide psychosocial support and gender-based violence prevention for women, young people, and unaccompanied minors.

VALUES
I leverage media to amplify underrepresented voices and narratives, achieve systemic change, and build a more equitable world.
My work is centered around contributing to a team culture (and a society) that is inclusive and actively anti-racist. My communication style is rooted in trauma-informed messaging.
Disclaimer: Every project, film, and campaign you see on this site took a major team effort. It’s important for me to center and celebrate the community and team members who have been integral to the projects referenced here. Any of my ‘success’ would not be possible without the talented creatives, strategists, and professionals I’ve collaborated with over the years. Every bullet on my resume should be read with an asterisk, “***alongside an incredible team.”
